Patience

Patience has never come easily to me. I want the answer now, the breakthrough now, the healing now. I am learning, slowly and sometimes reluctantly, that some things only come with time.

I used to think patience meant sitting still and waiting for life to happen to me. I am learning it actually means staying faithful in the waiting, still showing up, still doing the next right thing, even when nothing seems to be moving.

A few things that have helped me hold on to patience:

1. Reminding myself that growth is not always visible while it is happening.
2. Doing the small, faithful thing today instead of waiting for the big moment.
3. Trusting that timing is not the same as denial. Delayed is not the same as denied.
4. Giving myself grace on the days I run out of patience with the process, and with myself.

If you are in a season of waiting, I see you. Whatever you are believing for is still coming. Keep showing up.
